how safe is this? ive heard some horror stories about welded diffs breaking down.
i drove around on the street for a while, did brakes stands, drifts etc
i spent alot of time on it.
i figure if it was to break it would have broken the first time i did a burnout.
i took the diff up to 170km/h it was fine, cornered liek a champ too.
Pics of teh welds?
i wish i took pics now, since it would help the sale… however i didnt take any since when i was welding it i had no intention to sell it.
a lincoln electric sp175t was used on full heat.
it melted the spider gears together.
I saw this unit, very nice strong welds.
Penatrated the spyder gears very deep.
