swap is supposed to be relatively straight forward, there are 2-3 very reputable and reliable kits out there, plenty of rear-end and axle options (including ford 8.8 IRS) and a lot of people who have already done the swap to talk to on teh forumz
May have to check that out.
ive wanted one for 2+ years just dont have the space time or money to pull it off now and 90% of the fun would be personally doing the swap so one thats already done is out of the question.

lol i have seen long tubes for LSx motors longer than a miata
speaking of headers if im not mistaken unless you wanted to go custom, i believe there are only 1 1/2" shorty headers available for the NA/NB as compared to the 1 7/8 long tubes that are available for the FC/FC, e36, S13/14 etc, which kind of sucks. but, an LS1 NA can be 200+lbs lighter than an FC or S13
