All s-chassis wide bodies require rivits to hold them on. Again like I said before though its something you expect with an s-chassis.
You dont expect to see it on a VW, honda or BMW

well its a stock body, if there were rivets there, i would see an issue too. there is nothing wrong with a riveted on fender flare, especially on a car that does more then just sit in a parking lot. if your building a show car, then i will agree that riveted fender flares shouldn’t be done, spend that little bit of extra money and mold them in. but that only goes for wide body style, bubble style fender flares always look better riveted on. oh and the ones in question are carbon fiber, can’t really mold them into a car. but most 240 owners hit walls a lot more frequently then most other car owners, because they are used for drifting, so riveted flares means they can drill out the rivets, remove panel, put new panel on and re-rivet. that way there is no crazy body work to do everytime the car taps a wall.

Thank you. That’s exactly why people buy the riveted flares, easy of removal and replacement. If you actually use the car for what its built to do (I’m assuming it was built for drift or racing here) then they ARE going to get beat up. Much easier to replace a riveted on fender flare after tapping the wall then replacing the whole fender. $10 says the guy also drives that car to and from the track. The fenders being riveted on means he can bring a spare and replace it right there and be able to drive home w/o the cops bugging him about his exposed tire.

harlequin is better than pearl rainbow stripes… sorry benny. the original harlequin golf( mk3 4door, 1996) was designed for use during the 1996 atlanta games, by the olympic officals. VW figured the public would also buy them, and they did, each VW dealership in the US got 1 to sell… now what kind of cool story do you have behind your pearl rainbows??

very real. ive seen matching trailers, but its usually not that much of the car. usually they cut where the rear door is and close it off there.
Yeah well my car was involved in a one of a kind low speed frontal impact which was repaired by a shitty backyard body shop in Eastern Mass so the previous owner decided to paint it douchebag pearl and put a motorsport stripe on the passenger side fender while he was at it, then decided the one stripe wasn’t enough so he painted stripes all over the hood and driver’s side fender and paid for all of this out of pocket probably because he sold stolen watches or some shit, so it was never reported to Carfax, which some stupid kid from the Albany area thought was fail-proof at the time so he just took the previous owner’s word that he just like pearly paint, stripes, and ebay body panels, and never had a PPI done.
My shit’s one of a KIND son, and harlequin is STILL HIDEOUS.
