what are you thoughts on the correct long term way out? It reads like you’re for encouraging saving when getting consumers to spend is the only logical way out. You’re not going to get a higher GDP if people are saving, right?
I know it’s a bit of a catch 22.
back on topic, if you run any kind of a dealer that cannot participate in the cash for clunkers program and you advertised using cash for clunkers… how can you really say you were not attempting to pull people in by deception? I know you’ll say “but we gave $4500 off for their clunker” but the deception was that the buyer wasn’t getting use of the govt. program. If it was under the govt. program and you did the same deal they would have had $9000 off, but without you getting a clunker to resell.
