Battery problem and squeaky clutch pedal

I bought a new battery and connected everything up, but that box on the positive wire hits the hood when it closes, anyway I can relocate it or do something about it?

Also what could i put on my clutch pedal to stop it from squeaking? I heard WD-40 isn’t very good. If noone knows which boxy thing on the terminal I’m talking about I’ll post a picture.

Does your battery have a side post? If it does you could relocate it there and avoid the hood clearance problem, although it’ll probably be a bitch to work on if you have to.

The clutch pedal usually creaks becuause the pivot bushing is worn.

I need to replace mine, but a bit of sililcone spray will help you get through the day.

Did you compare the new part to the old part? Sometimes the battery is made to fit a bunch of cars, not just yours (If it’s a jobber battery like NAPA or something). Chances are if it didn’t do it before, the battery is alittle too tall. How about the clamp, is it on the terminal all the way?
