My car is stalling when I start it up, my cd player has trouble reading cds. I have a “SureStart” battery and was just wondering if I need a battery upgrade to fix this.

- Test voltage on battery (with and without load)

no its not the battery i have one and its been fine
Ya but it could be old. I was more wondering if anybody has had a similar problem and how they fixed it, I guess.

Test the (a) static voltage, (b) voltage during crank, and © Dynamic Voltage (Car Running)
A. 12 - 13v (12.6 )
B. 10.8 -13v (11.8 )
C. 12.6 - 14.6 (14.4 )
if A and or B are not met within the paramaters then its the battery.
If C is not met within the paramaters then it’s the alternator.
Another way to check the Alternator is while the car is running pull the
negative termal off the battery. If the idle changes/stalls then its bad.
