This is Garden City, NY. To be fair to the cop, there is a pressure washer in the video and who knows what kind of noise they were making / what else they were doing that made their neighbor call the authorities… but…

I heard the back story on this was that they were buying/selling/detailing cars out of their garage without the proper permits/paperwork and their neighbors were tired of them constantly washing cars and the traffic that was coming through because of it. Not sure how true that is, but these things certainly do get blown out of proportion pretty quick on the interwebz.
This wouldn’t surprise me at all.
If that’s true, watch them, gather evidence then charge them with the proper charge. Internet rage avoided.
The kid recording was being an idiot too, just asking for the cop to do something while he had him on camera. It’s a shame that police are just trying to do their job and you have kids like this, while probably just trying to make a few bucks for themselves, who poke the bear and try and get the cops to “harass” them. Then they wonder why they get pulled over every time the cop sees them out on the street…
