thanks so much for the reminders, we really appreciate it.

Is that sarcasm I sense? Hey, Maybe I should come on Pittspeed and post dumb questions like who wants to fight or tell people I’m drunk or maybe even tell people I’m going tanning. Thanks, now I know that I should only post topics that have nothing to do with cars and or racing.

:blue:

i dunno if i’m gonna make it out on monday now or not, going away with amanda and i think i’ll be gone till monday…

since when is drifting racing…or can it be considered a motorsport for that matter.

Yeah, drifting might not take as much skill as driving in a straight line but I think it is considered a motorsport.

is this john or igor cuz u both got the same damn sigs and sense of humor/sarcasm

OMG I have a stalker!!! :noes:

lol how it is an exhibition. you are judged not by winning speed wise but by some dude who thinks you make a lot of smoke. which in the end means nothing.

as for straight line racing every.001 counts cupcake, but I guess drifting is a good poor mans idea since you can throw together a POS 240 and go do it unlike drag racing and road racing where it take a power band to do well

exactly, but i think most people would understand it better this way, so lets rephrase

“but I guess drifting is cool because you can use any old car and get out and have fun, its more about driver skill level then about the money you poor into your car. Which I highly respect, because I think its way cooler to see someone develop driving skill then bolt part A into tab B minus from bank acct C”

If nothing else, it looks like it’s fun (if someone else paid for the tires).

Drifting is not judged on tire smoke. It’s judged on car speed, race line, and angle of drift. Drifting may mean nothing to you but it means nothing to me that you bolted on a big turbo on a car and drive in a straight line. I love how you are all proud that drag racing is based on how much money you spend on your car instead of just having driving skill. How about this, you don’t like drifting so why don’t you just stay at the dragstrip and be happy driving in a straight line cupcake.

have u ever drag race?

Yes I’ve tried drag racing before. It just didn’t do anything for me. If I want to go faster on the track or at auto x , I can work on my driving to improve my times. Drag racing if you want to go faster you just have to go out and spend more money. I’m not putting down drag racing if thats your thing then do it. I just think it’s funny when people don’t know shit about drifting and couldn’t do it in a million years try to put it down. BoostedITR41 do you ever road race or auto x your car or is it just a straight line type R?

everyone has there own thing!spend all the money u want in any motosport still dont make u #1,it takes driving stills in all!

all driving sports are going to explore different skills. Drag racing is reaction, drifting is car control. If only i could pack everyone on a ship, float it to japan, and show them that this “sport” is for real and it’s only a matter of time intill it gets the credit it deserves here. Then maybe the negetive comments will be sidelined.

i love how you try to come across as some long term racer that’s been around the block and trying to preach to the ‘unknowing’ about drifting, then make such a generalized idiotic remark… you just showed everyone that you’re ignorant to your preference and you just lost all credibility. It’s insanely ironic how you approach educating the closeminded drag racers…

you have to spend money to do a lot of things… except bash closeminded idiots on internet message boards.
