Before and after pics of your car(56k no no)

Well since most of us bought these cars used, it should of or is some sort of bad shape…like rust, REALLY bad rust (socko),dents, accidents…etc.

So guys, post pics, or tell us your tale about your experience with your 240, what kind of work did it take for you to get a nice or beat up 240, and howd you fix it up, pics would be best…i guess…

well, i bought my 240sx as a 91 fast back, champagn LE on April 9th 2006. I am the 5th owner, and a proud one…haha… And it was in horrible shape, fugly is the word. If anyone saw my car back then, they think i was an idiot to even pay for a car like that(not intended to say that my car is sweetilicious right now, but yeah).

First day got the car, drove home with no plates, April 9th 2006

as you can see, the front light, bumper, and hood is messed up, including the trunk, it was rusted to death. the rest, only the rear mud guard area had rust, the frame rails were ok.

Here is a pic of me having the left side light cover replaced, along with the left side plastic trim on the light, both from the junk yard. April16th 2006

and again, same day, different angle, oh yeah, the previous owner tried to go jdm and put a silvia K’s paint job on it. w00t. its tyte yo!

Got a new hood from “my_first_car” was suppose to go get a hatch lid from him but ended up buying a hood. April 25th 2006

Another pic of the same day, different angle, as you can see, the bumper is pretty much flush now, i used one of the legs of my stand up fans to support it up, as the clip holding the bumper was bend too far down.

Front lip purchased from Cahil, and installed on the same day. Date, unknown.

Got my hatch replaced, roof sprayed black to match the two tone, and go tthe 7 spokes a new paint.

Very low stance, thanks to the lip hahaha, car nor lowered btw. Another look of the painted roof …

Just got new rear brake rotors, after they were siezing up and making really weird noises. Replaced them with Magnum Cross drilled roters, with RDR pads. Got all four rims painted.

Finally, this is July 18th 2006, which is today, got skirts and a rear valence from anghellic for a wicked deal. Finalyl got rid of the silvia paint tone and went with the japanese cop car look …lol…i dunno, i had to do it to match it up.

still stock height, going to put on IKON-7’s 17"on the rear and the NISMO rays rims for the front right after i lower it with coilovers…so thats the transformation from then to now. hope everyone enjoyed the pics…

so, what is your story behind your car?

Yeah i really want to move this to Car Media.
Maybe after 2 pages.

I loved the headlight covers in black and the rest of the car beige, and doing the bottom of it in black for a two tone looks really cool. But I’m really not of a fan of the hood and hatch being black. It’d be one of the sweetest paint schemes around if you put just those two back to body colour.

Here’s the buildup of my rice mobile…

Oh and I went through 2 KA engines while I had my car… :S I’m on my third engine now!

Btw. For those of you who are wondering why there’s a piece of wood there, it’s because I had to jack up the car earlier that day and I was too lazy to take it out.

Are you sure its not because your car is wood?

before;

sic bodykit

Phil needs to do a before and after. You guys would flip your lid…

yo bro… that’s a sikk bodykit yo! how much did it cost you and where did you get it from? l

Marc (Birdhou) i really love the front lowering on your car, it looks perfect and flush with teh wheel well. However dont you think the rear might be a bit too low, the tire is starting to hide in the fender wheel well. Great looking car nonetheless.

Mike, sweet body kit!!!

Birdhouse I’m wondering how your wheel wells look so sick… my car is on eibach sportlines and the gap between the wheel and the wheelwell is bigger than on any stock car you see (the gap at the top AND at the side of each wheel). I know you have diff wheels but the size is kept the same, no? Or did you just drop it a lot when you got coilovers to get rid of the gap? dones’t seem too low though…

Dan, you gotta have the wheels tuckin!! I wish I had that going on my car

i should charge for the number of times my side street has been used for photo op’s

i bet there 60 or 70 with various cars there.

GT

why did you go from a slow car,

to an equally slow car?

Greg…isn’t that your GTR???

Greg doesn’t have a GTR :?

unless there’s something he’s not telling everybody.

i saw greg driving a blue skyline at cscs with a woodgrain steering wheel…or atleast it looked like a skyline since it was rhd?

And you call yourself a Nissan guy.

slap

Those tires are oversized… 225/50/R16 is too big… the stock S13 wheel+tire diameter is 615mm… with his setup it’s 631.4mm. The extra 16.4mm fills in the gap and that’s why he couldn’t lower the car more than that w/o rubbing…

I only have some rough pics right now but I’ll see what I can do. Sick eh?

Doesn’t that fuck things up though? Like make acceleration worse? Speedo wrong? Any other issue? I although thought it was really recommended not to do that
