To whom it may concern:
We are writing on behalf of the Cordero family, asking for any assistance that you may be able to provide.
In early September of 2011, John Cordero was diagnosed with having Pancreatic Cancer. Following his diagnosis, he immediately began Radiation and Chemotherapy treatments. 47 In all. On March 15, 2012 John had the Whipple procedure. A 15 hour surgery where Doctors removed half of the pancreas where the tumor was. They removed his gall bladder, half of his stomach and part of his large intestine. After a 9 day hospital stay and 6 more Chemotherapy treatments the cancer was gone.
On October 14, 2013, while getting the results of his latest CT scan, Doctors had found that the cancer has returned and is now in his lung. He is now considered Stage 4.Determined to fight this, John is entering a clinical study which includes 2 FDA approved Chemotherapy drugs plus an experimental drug that has shown good results.
John is a family man. Love’s watching football on Sundays and enjoyed being active in his community by coaching South Buffalo Little League football for many years.
