Swapped the coils out for some kyb’s and eibachs. Boy did I miss the ride quality. Plus it still handles damn good so win win.

Cut out a template for the header flange and a friend of mine is drawing it up in solidworks so I can have one cut out. Anyone know a good place to get some 1/2" plate?
Made some more steering wheel adapters and got my b pillar trim back from a friend who paint matched them for me

On the boost note- the tuning aspect has me the most concerned. That is the one aspect of automobiles I’ve never ventured yet. I’m very excited to try it though because I would love the feeling of having total control of what my engine does. Come that time I’m sure I’ll need plenty of advice on the subject.
HP goals?
Nothing crazy, maybe 200 tops. Playing it safe on the stock motor and wimpy 3rd gen ring lands. I’ll probably be building a 1st gen motor, all stock parts but rebuilt and fresh maybe hyper pistons with a 3rd gen head this summer.
What MS are you going with? Is it PNP?
If you start out with a base file tuning is not difficult. it’s simple math to adjust the fuel tables to your desired AFR…it’s timing that can be tricky. Best bet is get a copy of someone else’s file and use it to fire the car up and do some preliminary datalogging at varying RPMS stationary (no load) and see if it’s off by a ratio that you can apply to the whole table to start driving on for more datalogging and finer tuning. Then again, MS has that auto-tune feature nowadays where it basically adaptively learns for the AFR you want when you link in the wideband and use the applicable formula.
Be careful with the Hyper pistons…when I built mine way back when I went with them because Mike and Lisa from SDA ran them on their (which then became my car) S/C white coupe for a long time with no isses. Later to find out they swtiched manufacturing facilities to Mexico and weren’t as strong as the originals hence blowing the thing to pieces only with a 75 shot.

Also, I highly doubt the MS would be PNP. Even so, when I ran it on my Miata it was a pita.

Thanks for the support! I’m going with MS2 v3.57 SMD. No way at all plug in play, so I’m going to run a ms harness parallel to the factory harness so I can switch back to all factory management quickly for inspection.
A friend of mine is working on an E30 turbo build (the turbo in above pics is his) and I’m hoping we start the tuning process at about the same time so we have each other to bounce things off of and learn from.
Also heard from my brother that I have a second/beater car available for pennies so that frees up this car come summer time.
In other words, got the first round of goods today.

If theres anything I can do for you let me know. I dont have alot of parts left but I do have some. Im not sure if you are touching the motor internals at all but I do have 1 set of old (good) design sealed power hyper pistons left (99-02 SOHC .030 over) Probably the last set of old design left in the usa lol. I do have a set of new hastings rings too match it too.
I dont know if your still looking for dogbone mounts or not? I believe I have enough metal to make another set if needed
Other than that I have small various items like valve spring shims, New ecotec valve springs for use on a 99-02 DOHC head, Some stock heads and intake manifolds and some other random saturn parts. Hit me up and let me know what your looking for, maybe I can help
