no, i didnt hear that from people just talking about my car… i know exactly what im talking about, i know my car inside and out and i know just about every part that my car consists of, doing headwork is new valves/springs (184,000 miles on the car), im not talking oversize, just new… knob! i know exactly what im talking about, more than most people know about their saturns.
modding a saturn, i have a freind who did that, hell prolly chime in soon. And by chime in, hell prolly tell you that the money he invested into his car wasnt worth it. A $500 Thermal R&D exhaust made him lose horsepower
Hello and Welcome. I am a former Saturn geek. I just sold my fully built SC2. I can help you out with whatever you need, as far as Saturns go.
Disregard the negativity the above people have given. Not everybody has a buttload of $ to spend on a car. I’m glad to see a Saturn guy jumping on the bandwagon.
Sorry guys, but cut the kid a break. It’s a Saturn. Yeah, so what? Let him do what he wants. Not everybody is fortunate enough to own expensive cars like you guys do.
He’s never going to extract performance out of it. He doesnt have a “buttload of $ to spend on it” is exactly my point. Putting money away, for a good platform (hell even a Honda is a better platform) or something else would be the smart choice rather than wasting money on a Saturn.
it was rough tuned on another video hes hittin 340 hp thats more than double from factory… dont tell me thats not a fast street car a 350hp 2200lb car sounds quick to me…
just because it isnt a “typical honda tuner” you cant count it out
Yeah. The biggest problem Saturn tuners face, is the lack of aftermarket support. It’s very tough to find performance components for the S Series. If we had more support from aftermarket performance companies, the car would be on a higher level of the tuner totempole.
If only you knew how hilarious it was that you said that to me.
I couldnt care less about the tuner temple or whatever you’re babbling on about. The Saturn chassis is a pile of crap, like most GM cheapo chassis (J-body ring a bell?). It’s a poor platform to build anything on. 350hp, whoopie! Back when that saturn was new, that might’ve been a lot of power, but look at the market today, it’s saturated with 300-350hp cars (riding on much better chassis).
The Saturn is not on a J Body chassis. Please clarify how its a poor platform. I’d like to know. The way it sounds, you must have owned a Saturn and built it, to know so much about its negatives.
I know it’s not a Jbody read the syntax of my post, I stated that it was SHIT, LIKE THE JBODY. I’ve put enough miles on them, and worked on a few and know the inner workings fairly well. Along with the insight from some GM guys, and my experience around fairly high hp street/track cars I think I’m able to make a fairly sound judgement on the chassis being a pile of garbage.
Oh yeah, and I take shits that require more than 350hp.
