I bought a new laptop in January and it came with Norton already installed so I have been using that so far without any problems. My issue now is my trial is up and before I “buy” a subscription to Norton i figure i better weigh the other options out their. On my xp desktop I use avg, but this being a vista 64 bit machine i figure there might be something else out there that is better. My second question is should I but a legitimate copy or is it worth downloading a copy with a crack/keygen or am i safer and better off buying a new copy?
ESET NOD32. much less of a memory hog than Norton and works better too.

Heard good things about NOD32, best personal experience was with Kaspersky
I bought NOD32, it is priced pretty cheep and so far I have no complaints.

but yeah I second that, for the most part AVG free edition and not doing stupid shit will keep you bug free…its kinda like wearing a condom, you don’t really need a fancy super expensive uber condom, just a regular one and the sense to use it…
