Best Bushings For Street Use

just to see what everyone recommends as im going to be doing some of the bushings in the rear end and front. Looking for something thats not to stiff, just right with good longetivity. Im familiar with Energy Suspension anything else ? how are their bushings from experience ?

Energy is the best IMO, Best bang for the buck. Just buy them. Nothing fancy.

Make your own.

Solid bushings ftw.

Weld them in solid.

Nismo are probably the best for street. But be ready to pay 10x what the energy kit is.

Where can you get Energy full bushing kits locally, anyway?

Napa or ask around the vendors section.

I’ve been told that energy bushings are far stiffer than stock, making it pretty harsh for daily driving. I drive quite a bit and I don’t want feel jarred over and over again barreling through these nasty Ontario roads. Anyone with an energy bushing set up to comment?

Just get OEM bushings from Nissan or online if your worried.

They are a bit stiffer, you WILL feel it a bit sometimes.

Performance & Quality cant always equal comfort.

i had energy on my car. 1 of best mods you could do to the car. it will tighten up the car big time. and don’t worry its not too harsh like crazy coil overs.

peace

+1 for energy. they run great

do the energy bushings last long too on the roads around here ? or go oem ?

I’ve had the whole ES Master Kit installed in my previous car and I think is the first and best upgrade for 240sx. Combined with coilovers it make you feel the car a lot better, even with old n/a KA24DE I’ve had so much more fun driving it.
The only problem is that it’s not so easy to install them and some garages will charge you a lot because it’s really time consuming upgrade.

Now I have 180sx with perfectly good OEM bushings and the same coilovers, and it feels different - softer, more disconected from the road. If you like comfort then go for OEM bushing. Soon I’ll be changing all suspension arms, spindles and knuckles on my 180 with new ones with ES bushings installed. If you are interested in OEM comfort let me know, I’ll be selling my 180sx stuff, and btw. these are rust free components.

The best is stock.

If you want to go with polyurethane whiteline is the highest quality. Iit would be wise however to have zerk fittings so you can grease them. Otherwise you’ll just end up having a jarring and noisy badly behaving suspension.

If you have the money just get spherical bearings. A quality setup like spl or bings should be fine. It’ll make the suspension work better anyways. I went from polyurethane to sphericals and it’s a world of difference.
