There is nothing wrong with K&N man…apexi is the best though.
A filter is a filter. Its all in the marketing. Some will flow better than others but at the end of the day as long as you have a filter on there you’ll be fine. We arent talking about 10hp here, maybe one or two. There is no one better filter than the other.
Contrary (go figure) to what Ahmad says K&N filters are some of the best constructed units. I had a chance to tour and see how their filters are built. They have some of the best technology being used. The whole oil fiasco came about when people would over oil their filters and then some of it would get onto their MAFs, nothing of K&Ns fault just user error.
What’s funny is when I was in Japan, I was checking out all the engine bays at the drift event I attended and the filters on some of these cars were 10 years old, they looked used and abused but sure enough those motors were bouncing the rev limiters on every turn hence why I say if its on there then its good to go.
