best place to buy raw building materials. 2x4s etc

I would try a real lumber mill or something that specializes in lumber, like 84 lumber, they can usually have scraps or cheaper prices.

thank you sir for the input, im excited to BUILD

Those are such small amounts, you won’t save much at the lumber yards, although you will get better stuff.

X…

Lenco lumber is usually cheaper than the big box stores also.

i bet he’s building some sort of bird house…

i thought he was joking LOL   :roflpicard:

That is flakeboard not plywood…

If you’re going to leave it outside you’re going to need to cover it or else it basically melts.

osb is basically chunks glued & pressed

Yep. OSB sucks for any skateable surface because it’s kind of soft and the small wheels will eventually poke holes. If the OSB gets wet it’s even worse. When we were first building ramps we’d use OSB scrap and they’d never really last

Also, as a tip for the angle iron: Drill counter sink holes if you’re screwing it down. If you don’t want to deal with drilling holes you can just glue it down using construction adhesive, but I’m not sure how well it’ll work with OSB.

Looks good so far though. How tall? We should have a little sesh when you’re done

yeah i would laquer it, would make grinding very slippery easy and water proof it

i will try to talk to the guy with the half pipes tomorrow

Cover the OSB with some 1/4" ply
