Best spark plug for the Audi 4.2L?

I hate audi forums, the are filled with so much useless banter. The stock Bosch plugs are freakin’ 15 bucks a pop. Anyone use anything else?

What’s the bosch number? German autoparts has them for 10, or an ngk for 8.60

The OE’s are probably a 60k to 100k plug. Not bad for 15 ea really…

A plug is a plug really… As long as it’s the same heat range they are all gonna work ok, most plug “tech” is marketing …

What are you basing this on? I know that in my huge cam only car ran and drove much different on certain plugs. I prefer the copper ngk’s.

Personal results, and the fact that a spark is a spark, as long as it starts combustion they will all work some plugs will run better on some cars based on ignition differancea, and everybody prefers NGk coppers( myself included) and they are dirt cheap… Iridiums/ platinum +4’s etc gnerally are all compromises for marketing a reason to sell a 20 dollar plug vs a 3 dollar one.

Yea i have never messed with the Iridiums etc etc I can see that being marketing for sure.

i’ve been using ngk v powers in all my audi’s with no problems,
work great for the price
