Best sr20det spark plugs

In your opinions, which plug is the most expensive, shortest life, all out racing plug?

I was speaking to Frank from FourStar MotorSports at an event we had on Saturday.
FYI - He’s a Canadian Rally Champion and also owns the shop.

I showed him that I was using BKR7E plugs, and he told me to get rid of those.
They are great for a street car but not a lapping car / racer.
He said that they get too hot, and the spark plug tip begins to glow.

I just also happened to have a set of BKR7E IX and he told me to use those for now but get BKR8E-IX for next time.

He kinda knows his stuff so I’m inclined to give it a shot.
I think they are $13 each as opposed to only $3 each.

2 things you need to know…

  1. NGK
  2. Correct heat range for application

BKR7E is fine BKR8E is a step colder, therefore it is suited for higher cylinder pressures, an BKR8E will foul on most cars running under 20psi of boost. IX signifies that its Platinum, therefore will last longer but also costs more, BKR7E is 2.50 a plug , you can afford to change them every oil change.
