Bicycle crew: Post your ride

Ya mine was picked up by UPS in Florida at 4PM yesterday and then left this morning at 9am to come here. Delivery date is Monday but would love to have it Friday. If you work, make sure someone can sign for it. If it is out for delivery on Monday, I am working from home that day to wait for it.

Got mine tuesday and Gus assembled it wednesday.

Got mine on Monday. Was out Monday night and last night. Been able to do 12mph for about 6-7 miles. Still working up to the 10 mark since I am going from a sedentary lifestyle to being active but enjoy it a lot more than running.

still getting used to the curved bars

you’ll be amazed how much easier running will be once you get your endurance up.

You get clip-ins?

How do you like it so far?

Na I am not that intense. My cross training sneakers are find on the pedals.

Its not bad. I like it because I can cover a lot more ground than running so its more enjoyable. I will be happy when I can go 10-15 miles easily and start using it to go a lot more places this summer.

get some toe clips/straps, take advantage of being able to push and pull.

I meant the bike lol. Good quality? Good components?

I wouldn’t get clip-ons and shoes for this bike… The price tag would be the amount for the bike… Some pedals with “rat-cages” would be a cheap option to get the push pull…

Also guys, if you’re hitting up some big miles I suggest carrying a small seat bag.
-Tire lever
-2 spare 700cc tubes
-$5
-Quarters for air
-C02 air pump
OR
-frame mount hand pump

Lol. Its not bad. Heavier than the carbon fiber ones but its not bad on the road. The crank and shifter seems pretty solid and being a bigger guy, it seems sturdy.

Meant Toe Clips, not spd or the like. But x2 on what you said as well.

I just bought this from a hipstery friend for 200 bucks. Not a bad purchase, not fixed gear. I still don’t get that.

Just got this guy over the weekend. It’s a 2009 Trek 2.1. It’s my first road bike but I like it alot.

Started to get my fathers 1980 Schwin Super Le Tour. This bike is in mint shape and a classic! I love it.

What do you guys think of this bike? Thanks.
