Tomorrow is Big Garbage Day in my district so I thought some of you would also like to know when its your turn in your district. Here is the schedule.

Trash must be put out on Sunday of each Bulk Trash Week. Each property is limited to a pile of trash that is 12 feet long, 3 feet high and 3 feet wide. Excessive amounts of trash are subject to a fine. Annually residents are allowed to dump one (1) ton of trash at the Eastside Transfer Station with proof of residency (water bill etc.). $44.00 for each additional ton. To avoid delays dump before 10:00 am or after 1:00 pm. For additional information on trash collection, please call the Mayor’s Hotline at 851‐4890.
TWO (2) PIECE TRASH COLLECTION
In addition to spring and fall trash collection schedule, residents may set out two (2) pieces of large trash per property each week on their regular garbage day (weather permitting). A property is defined as a taxable address. If more than two (2) pieces of trash are set out for collection, the property owner may be subject to a fine.

CURBSIDE COLLECTION PROGRAM RULES
1.
Garbage totes, two (2) piece trash, yard debris and recyclable items must be set out no earlier than 7:00 pm the evening before, or no later than 6:30 am on the morning of your regularly scheduled collection day.

Failure to comply with the rules of the curbside collection program will result in a legal summons. For additional information regarding participation in the curbside collection program, please call 851‐4890.

Refrigerators, stoves and other white appliances must be placed at the curb at the same time with your totes. City collection crews will notify a special crew to pickup appliances. Note: Only one (1) refrigerator per household per calendar year. Doors must be removed prior to being placed at the curb.

Leaf disposal must be in clear plastic bags only. Any yard waste in colored bags will be treated as garbage.
5.
Only City of Buffalo totes shall be put out for curbside collection. No private totes allowed.
CITY LOT PROGRAM
Owners of vacant lots are required to keep their land clean and cleared of grass, weeds, brush and other debris that may accumulate. The City can perform this service after June 1, 2008 if the owner fails to maintain the lot properly. The owner will be billed for services rendered at a cost of $210.00 per lot.
PICK AND PAY PROGRAM
In addition to the spring and fall collection schedule and two (2) piece trash on garbage day, residents can request a pick and pay. For a MINIMUM fee of $81.00 the City will pickup four (4) cubic yards of trash. To schedule an appointment for this program, please call 851‐5544. Do not place bulk trash out to the curb until an appointment has been scheduled.
