looks good man. The only tip I can give you is for getting the panel gaps to level out perfect and have a nice line between the two.
prep both surfaces and spread filler right over the gap and both pieces. kind of like your molding it closed. But be sure to leave a little of the gap exposed on top and bottom. Then block out the entire thing dead flat. The little gap on top and bottom are for refrence points for where the gap is behind the filler you just blocked down. Now take a string and draw a nice straight line where the gap is behind the filler and carefully take a small cut off wheel and cut the filler back down into the original gap between the two panels. once your back in two pieces, both sides of the panels will be perfectly aligned and you can round off the filler on each panel gap to make it nice. you might need to add a little filler on the sides of the new gap you just created to make it look good.
That works great for fender to cowl, fender to door, fender to hood… you block the entire thing out like it was on big molded up piece of art and then zip the gaps back out.
looking great so far man!
yup that’s what i did with the trunk, my cameras dead so it will have to wait till tomorrow. Im doing most of the filler on the fiberglass parts, trying to use a little body filler as possible on the car.
