Biggest Sport Compact Drift/Event in CND History -Oct 7-TMP

Who’s that guy with no front bumper cutting up the inside? 8)

Rodrigo, glad to see you finally joined. Nice work out there.

Leo

PS: Brasil!!!

Definately glad to be here
Could you please get my name right? It’s Rod or Rodrigo not Rodge, don’t mean to sound rude but I didn’t like being called by a wrong name up to the stage. I know it must of been a misunderstanding but it was ‘on paper’. I know Chris kept forgeting it all the time… No worries… Anyways I had an awsome experiance being that that was first event. Thanks to everyone that showed up, CSCS, all the sponsors, and the TMP. Time of my life  Now to find tires for driftops! Big up Wayne

Thanks to Chris and CSCS for trying to accomodate us. We had a blast for the short time we were there.

Here are some videos from yeasterday. Thank you to Stephanie for taking them.

Jesse his 3rd gear entries are better
Theo short but it was my entrance lap, swayed right into corner 4.
Adam (Head)
Justin (IntenseMotorsports)
Theo wouldn’t fire up and clutch pedal was on the floor

handbrake choku dori FTMFW!!!

hhaha, that was the only 2nd gear entry into that corner that i did. i was hitting the rev limiter on entry.

angle correction front tire smoke ftmfw! too bad i spun

i think at drift ops we should have an early entry competition

Awsome event!

I must say October 7 CSCS was a sick event! Big props to CSCS (Bob Chris & Others), along with everyone who came out, if not for the drivers and spectators these events wouldnt not have been possible. Also thanks to TMP Cayuga and the sposors of CSCS.

I had an awsome time at the event, there were alot of people and we had to share the track with the grip drivers and the track conditions were constantly changing made it all more challenging experience. I was really glad to see alot of spectators and new drivers on the track; hence, I must say I can see the sport of drifting exponentially expanding in Canada. Especially with the beats playing out on the track!

Congrats to Chris for coming in first place and Rod for second. The competition was fun and if there is a series of competitions next year I am most likely going to attend again. Next time S1DC will be out there!

Looking forward to next season, but see you all at ドリフトOPS 『IN-MOTION』 on October 28th at Shannonville! DRIFT PAWTY!

arggg… so i haven’t gotten vids posted yet
last night we decided to drive up to coldwater instead of this morning, so i didn’t get around to uploading until this evening

and i’m uploading FULL size vid clips…
43 clips, around 1.2gig in total… all 640x480, 30fps, stereo sound

so i’m sure the drivers will enjoy

i will only have vids up for a week or two due to bandwidth, i don’t want them linked all over the place… so once posted (tonight or tomorrow they’ll be finished/uploaded, gotta drive back to london tonight). then right click and download as quickly as possible

i will make another post once they’re up with location and information

and pics i’m working on while the vids upload, so they should be up tomorrow too

Quick question… What was the final breakdown of the top 6 drivers?

Anyone got this type of info? Not that its as important as top 3, but i’m still interested!

Awesome event, awesome time! Great job guys!

Adam

I hope someone got a picture at least of me …i dont have any …i was the silver s13 with 180 wing…anyone have any pictures?

hey guys… you know whats sad

i think most of us drove better than these guys… and theyre considered pro

look at those lame entries and slow speed

get cages so we can show what ontario’s all about

I agree …i was at drift mania too and some stuff i seen saturday was compareable to these guys.

wow, those arn’t even drifts. no angle whatsoever. the reason why they are in is because they have money lol.

With that said, i also think we should set up a drifting series based in Ontario. This would be a really good project for Drift Ops or Driftstar to combine together. I’m sure a lot of us don’t want to compete and have to drive down to quebec for every event. I’m not too familiar with Driftmania, but a lot of the drivers are from quebec/ottawa area right?

I say be different, and start an ontario series (even if its just for fun), and maybe even compete with Drift Mania. Allowing at most 1 or 2 all out competitions, which for most of us would be best since i’m sure none of us have the dedicated funds to just concentrate on drifting and reach down every so often in the summer time. Just my 2cents tho.

but i would definetly cage the car (sooner) if a drifting series in Ontario started up. even if there wasn’t as much media coverage, but just as a start to help things expand in Ontario.

hint to Drift Ops and Driftstar

We didn’t do a breakdown of the top 6 drivers because points weren’t award this year…

Next year however full standings will be recorded in order to keep track of points for the series…

well im up for a series in ontario next year. im building a fully built 240 with trac kdrifting in mind. full cage, seam welded, gutted interior… so keep me posted. i also have a budy of mine who is building a car this winter for the same purpose.

vids!!!

ok so here’s the deal
as mentioned above, they’ll be up for a limited time. just a couple weeks or whatnot

there are TWO files for each video
one is the avi video
the other is a .thm file - this stores the thumbnail preview, and exif data for the video

the thm file is not required to view the video, but if you want to keep the exif data for it, then download it

each video filename is as follows:
date@time–car#.avi

so you can easily just download the video(s) according to your car# if you don’t want any others

so please try not to overload my server

here you are!

edit: how did mr 240sx get a post in at 1:26pm when it’s not even 8am yet? :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I downloaded one of these videos - realized I got it at 20 MEGABYTES per second and figured if it takes less than 1-2 seconds per video I might as well grab them all and mirror this for you guys so it can stay up longer than a week. It’s not every day you see this:

It was a sign

Here is the mirror: http://jammin.jshost.ca/cscs/

lol thanks for the mirror
i have lots of space/bandwidth on mine, so it would last awhile… but you know how things can get linked all over the net… so i can’t keep up forever :stuck_out_tongue:

nice speed you got there too… haha
it’s because we’re using the same web host  (1and1)

Awesome Vids, excelent spot, I can see exactly where I made my mistakes… heh not that it was too hard to figure out.

Thanks for hosting them!!

Hey thanks for posting…i cant seem to find my car though…i was car number 03… do you have pictures or video ? on there …?

Nevermind i found it
