i think my honda hurricane does. anyway, i get about 45 mpg on that thing. i think it is stock except for the exhaust.
no one on here seriously gets more than 50? wtf i get at least 55 on my yzf
Are you kidding?
2000 YZF R1 (carbed. few mods) approx 35 mpg
mines a 600, and no im not kidding, last trip to the gas station was after riding 83 miles and i put in just over a gallon and a half, apporx 52 mpg, but then again i dont drive like a nutcase at 150mph to go 40ft to the next red light
I don’t date fattys, I have a strict limit on girls. srsly. even more strict for those who want to ride on my bike…no girls over 110
Meh, I can MAYBE fit 3 gallons in my cbr. I do have a differnt tank though (plastic)
04 FZ1
full exhaust, jetting
around 38-40mpg
06 gsxr, -1 +3 gearing, power commander with a tune not made for my exhaust, spedohealer, custom made exhaust
About 40 mpg… riding hard
Everytime i shift i get flames… yea i need a custom tune, and maybe a air filter
i guarantee your tank holds WELL over 3 gallons. 600rr has a 4.6 gallon tank IIRC… and your tank is not plastic, just the cover that goes over the tank is plastic.
:picard: get the correct map for your bike/mods, you are probably losing HP and gas mileage.
My buell is only 3.8 gallons, not big either.
my speedo is broken.
i have no idea.
I used to get 37 riding around town or having fun and 50 cruising down the highway on my 1985 Nighthawk 700 S.
wanna bet?
I can barley get 100 miles out of a tankfull
03 r6 SE w/Micron pipe
32-38mpg
STOCK was 4.8 gallons (including the .9 gallon reserve)… why anybody would do anything to the tank to make it smaller is beyond me… (600rr’s have a plastic cover over the metal tank. if they dented in the tank for stunting but didnt mold the tank cover to fit the dent then they are retarded) I looked back at your stock pics, the tank cover looks to be 100% in tact to me)
Therefore, If anybody changed the tank to make it smaller… they are retarded.
My guess is you have a lot more gas left in your tank before you fill it up
ANYWAY… stock that bike under nice riding should yield 40ish mpg give or take… so 36 sounds about right for whats done and depending how you’re riding the bike
I need to take it to a PC dealer and get a custom tune. My exhaust was custom made…
Since i put on my exhaust and set it to the tune it is at now, my MPG increased.
I usually fill it up when the gas gauge is on red and it takes about $14 to fill it. that’s about 3 gallons.
Do you fill it up on or off the bike?
If not try on the bike when it standing up, you will get more gas in it.
Why is it that motorcycles read incorrect MPH straight from the factory? You’d think they’d read correctly from the factory before they’re messed with? How can they continue to manufacture/sell bikes that read incorrect MPH?
Isn’t that against some kind of law because it promotes unsafe speeds/riding?
