young QB, first time as an NFL starter, I’m not surprised. lots of near-takeaways. coverage was great, his options were limited, I was hoping for more draws and sneaks to keep the buc’s D guessing. loved that moulds catch on the sideline, one of the most professional-looking plays of the entire game. mcgahee was tied right down, hard for him to get any speed out, and they read our reverses like playboy, quick, dirty, and smeared everywhere.
BUT, JP has massive potential, damn that sumbitch can throw, and he’s got some speed too - he’s just gonna need seasoning. the last few minutes of the game, in that final drive, I think he finally calmed down a bit, knowing the game was pretty much decided. pressure off, quick accurate decisions - and passes.
next week is gonna be a bitch, atl is also gonna be hungry for a win. maybe JP will grab some QB sneak tips from vick.
