black chroming question..

i painted the grill of my ser with touch up paint (like a brush) the first week i got it, later stripped it off and rattle-canned it. turned out okay.

before

after (dont have a single good pic so here’s a few lol)

edit: found this from my f/s pics, you can see it chipped a bit, but i didn’t clear it

thats regular rattle can black?

grey

the SER had “shadow trim” everywhere except the grill so i wanted to get rid of the cheesy chrome

fuckkkk i miss that car lol

ahh yes…i see…that looks pretty good…

yea. def need to protect the surface. even if youre super carefull, another person will chip it, or catch it with keys, purse, metal zipper, something theyre carrying, nails, whatever.

yea, i figured thats a givin…im unsure about the grey though…cuz the car is blue…if it was back id do it in a heartbeat cuz it looks good with the black in kramers pics…and the trim im looking at doing is also bigger (esp. the grill)

i did grey because the inner part of the grill was grey and there is grey throughout the car (headlights, taillights, fog trim, etc.).

black would look good if there was black trim throughout the rest of the car, or if you painted all of the trim black.

yea, there is black and silver tim inside…but a decent amount on the outside is chrome…fml…lol

make it black if it will look nice

thats another thing i was thinking…an aftermarket black grill with the black trim possibly… (grill styled after an OEM one)
