Would be interesting to see someone running this and report back on performance of their car/truck.
lol, they just put a name on burning wmo (waste motor oil) and they’re trying to sell it.
Basically - Yes, you can run those substances in your diesel.
No, you don’t want to.
Motor oil is changed because it has metal and water and all sorts of other nasty stuff in it. I thought about running a 15% mix in my 36gal tank but it wasn’t worth the risk. You’re going to spend money on filters and still risk blowing it up.
I run the same risk burning WVO, but my oil is already filtered and from trusted sites. You never know what is in WMO. There was a guy on the ford site who was collecting WMO from the bus garage he worked at for his truck. He blew it up that week. When he told the guys at work what happened, they all asked if he was crazy because they dump antifreeze and all sorts of other shit in that dumpster.
yeah ive heard of some folks wanting to run that…
the only way id try it is to use a multiple bypass filter cartridges that uses the roll of basically toilet paper in it to filter the oil till it looks like oil again. ie alot of farting around.
as for the antifreeze… it should settle at the bottom. at least it does in my mystery fluid bottles at the house.
Brian
IDK if you can get the right amount of pressure needed with the multiple bypass filters… my father did the bypass filter bit in his truck (just one for oil as lubricant) and i don’t believe it was under pressure…
Another question… is burning it better for the environment?
are you ok?
from what i remember from working in a shop they dump everything and anything in the WMO tanks… you would need to use a place that you know only dumps oil in them
