is anyone running a diesel car or truck on vegetable oil?

my mom is driving a jetta tdi and im thinking about getting a diesel truck. i want to know if anyone has done this and how hard it is to do. i have several sources for oil so that is not an issue. thanks for any input

Jack was, but I think that he sold it.

thanks

Still got it. Buyer backed out… after he blew up the tranny and cancelled the wire transfer.

Tranny is rebuilt and the truck is in Brockport.

just saw a rally car at stpr doing this. http://www.greasecar.com/

I think its hell on the fuel system. (pump, injectors (“nozzles”), lines, etc…) makes for a horrid mess when working on them.
Bio IMHO is a better way to go… or just use the car and enjoy the 45+mpg…

If i was to do grease it would be on a truck the modern TDI, is far tooo finicky
