Does anyone who has the coordination to ski/board plan on going to Gore the day after thanksgiving? I plan on being there along with some friends from school the minute they begin handing out lift tickets.
They’ve been making snow recently, so I have high hopes that they will at least have a couple trails open to stunt around on.

The last time I did it I was sober but I was also young. Lots of fun though. I think Maple has it cheap on Tuesdays or something.

I gotta work that day, but I plan on getting a season pass to Gore and going up there most weekends this winter.
Gore is dumpy as fuck. Dont get me wrong I go there alot, but it seems like every time I go I hate the place more and more. Place is too small, and crowds up too fast. 2 main lifts to get up HALF of the mt, isnt enough and is slow as balls with uber lift lines. 4 semi hard trails that give you a little of a challange, and the gayest terain park on the east coast next to royal MT or Maple. Not to mention that NYS bought them a sick Pipe dragon machine about 6 years ago and hasnt used it ONCE. No hot lifties any more. Ski patrol, hates me becasue for somereason they think it isnt safe to launch tricks off the headwall on the Rumor or ski switch past racers on normal runs. I used to get seasons passes to there and whiteface, but havent in a few years becasue prices went WAY up, and quality sank.
NOT TO MENTION, THEY ARE CHARGING YOU 10$ TO PARK IN THE UPPER LOTS NOW!!! FUCK YOU NYS, ONCE AGAIN.
But on the brighter note as much as I hate that place, if I wasnt working, I would swing up for an elcheepo preseason shit show with you. I will PM you when the season starts to kick off and we will have to meet up and kill that place one day.

Same shit here! We arnt retards, and have been skiing for a long ass time, and have skiied stuff that would kill you outwest if you made a mistake… rumor is a bunny hill. We set shit up all the time and have a spotter and all so we dont land on someone and hurt them or our selves. I spun a simple 3 safty grab, my brother did a 3 mute and the last guy followed and did a big retarded spread eagle for LULz, we trained it about 10 feet between each other. Our other friend spotted us and stopped people from cutting us off. the patroller saw all three of us hit it from the bottom and waited for us. told us that was the most unsafe thing he has ever seen on the mt, and that we endangered everyone on that run. we laughed in his face, and told him we had a spotter, and all three of us stuck it perfectly and skiied the entire run better than he could have… We took off and he tried to catch us, we skiied switch most of the run while he was yelling at us to stop. we were all jibbing shit and fucking around the entire time as he followed us to the lift, then got canned by the rest of the patrollers he called ahead to. They made us go up the lift with them and they “escorted” us down showcase to the lodge! lol we ripped that run too and they were pissed to say the least.
