The job im working on here as tons of dead brown recluses. The kid i work with said there are black widows there too and they kill the BR’s like seriously they are all over the walls and floors dead. Ill have to try and get a pic, i didnt know what they were at first but my boss was like “hey if you see one of them things moving dont fuck with it or your skin will start to fall off.” Fuck floridas spiders.

Black Widow > Brown Recluse, but Brown recluse can usually be found living together.

When I was stationed in Quantico, we had a guy get bit by MANY (i.e. they stopped counting the bites after 30 or so) Brown Recluse spiders, who setup a colony along the brick wall of the barracks. The dumbass left his window open that night for some reason, even though there was strict policy to keep it closed and they ate him alive while he was asleep. They had to airlift him to Bethesda Medical, and he almost died. Brown recluses do not fuck around.

Also, from what I remember it wasn’t the venom from the bite that was the problem, but some kind of bacteria or something also accosiated with the bite. I remember one of the Naval doctors explaining it. They also said people react differently, some it will have no effect, and others will be all screwed up.

There is no reference to any pholcid spider biting a human and causing any detrimental reaction. If these spiders were indeed deadly poisonous but couldn’t bite humans, then the only way we would know that they are poisonous is by milking them and injecting the venom into humans

You might not be wrong, but you are stupid, since you linked an article and referenced info about DADDY LONG LEG SPIDERS. We are talking about Brown Recluse Spiders, are we not?

Also the long-term medical outcome is excellent without treatment.” Furthermore, says Anderson, “We are not aware of any verifiable deaths caused by the bite of the North American brown recluse spider.” (He noted that several deaths from such wounds “had been reported in medical journals, but none of the reports is convincing.”) He also reported that out of “about 1,000 credible recluse spider bites,” he was only aware of “about a dozen cases of impressive, sustained hemolysis.”
Now why would a doctor comment on “bites” and how they heal if it was impossible to be bitten? Why are bites documented in medical journals? Things that make you go hmmm…
Since I’ve SEEN it firsthand, and have REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE with the little arachnids, I’ll continue to insist that they bite, and are far from harmless.
