Well… I got my criminal background check back from the state, and Northwood’s getting a copy of my real estate schooling transcript to me, so I’ll be scheduling my licensing test for my real estate license. Assuming I pass (you only need a 70% and this shit is unbearably easy), I’ll be an agent in a month or so. I guess that means I’ll have to get a haircut, and shave every once in a while…
Prediction: A year from now I’m a yuppie, in Lacoste shirts, and a card carrying Republican. :eek4:
in a few years from now we can get together and bet on if we replace one of our top executives a young black man, he will either fail or succeed. $1 wager only.
actually the state test is real easy the national test is real hard, but you have to take both. since your dad is in the business you already know that though. I am goin for real estate schooling over summer
investing is where the money is at. Agents can do well if they start their own little company, but only a very small few will make tons of money working for some company.
My aunt has her own real estate company down in alabama, she makes tons. It’s sick how much money she has.
cut your teeth working for another company. learn the business, make some money, make connections, then start your own company. And move to Ocean City. theres so much money to be made doing real estate down here its ridiculous. You cant find a house for under $200K. average is prolly $350-400. And there are TONS 600+ and tons over a million.
that will save you a headache. if you have some names and ppl to call to drum up some business you won’t get lumped in with the ‘realtor wives’. :greddy2:
