As for the VW video… once the fire is under the dash pad… which shouldn’t have happened that easily there is not much an in car extinguisher is going to accomplish.

after watching the video again I saw the extinguisher, and why not spray it under the dash towards the fire rather than on top of the dash…

Kids; spray your extinguishers AT THE FLAMES, not whatever is in front of it…
