I was just wondering. I know of an invididual who is selling a 240 after blowing the transmission. Now the transmission has been replaced with a new one, but would there have been reprecussions to other aspects of the engine? Also, one of the headlights flip up, but doesnt come back down, the seller claims its due to a fuse being blown, is that true or is it just a costly repair to fix? Anyones help would be greatly appreciated!
How old is this driver? How did he/she blow the transmission? How many KM on the car. The headlight issue I dont think is a fuse problem since they should both run off the same fuse, they dont do diffrent things ever. I would take a look at the whole situation I can think of one way to blow a tranny (beating the piss out of the car and messing up the syncros ect.) if thats the case the engine is prolly not going to be 100%. I would ask if they are willing to let you take the car to a shop and let a mechanic go over it and tell you whats up with it. That is if the car you feel is worth doing that. I did it when I bought mine and it gave me much more peace of mind.
ya it was a young driver, and he didnt know how to drive stick very well apparently…it has 126 k’s…i just dont want to get a car, knowing that it is gonna cause me great problems to get it fixed up…
