bmw 328 or nova?

well, ive been talking with some guys at work and one of them is selling a 71 nova nearly mint roller. all it needs is motor/tranny and some brake lines. Now those of you that know me know that i like to drag race and that my bmw has not been very kind to me while doing so.

so here is the question. my motor is being built for big power regardless the chassis. so it will be bmw powered 328 or bmw powered nova.

the owner of the nova is looking for 4g firm and im thinking with the fresh paint i could probably sell my bmw for atleast 4g as a roller.

so what you guys think? stick with bmw tractionless hottttnesss or get a evil looking nova and bastardize it with a 800whp bmw motor?

i voted nova because nova is baller, but get something with a frame. Unibody sucks

Mint but needs brake lines?!?! did he remove them? because if they rotted out id be alot more leary that it isnt mint, they are notorious to rust in spots that are easily hidden by a repaint. 4g is high for it aswell, unless the interior is mint too

there is no rot anywhere. there was metal replaced but done the right way. its in primer right now. only reason im considering this is becaus ethe novas frame can be tied easily and i love the body style. i dont care for anyother domestics realy.

it will take you forever to sell a roller e36 for 4k, even though it’s worth well more than that

Nova makes chicks wet. It will always be muscle cars for me.

My mom use to drive a nova

Nova.

What kind of rear end does it have? What is the background of the car…Race or Street?

I’d get the Nova, but I’d also swap in a motor in the BMW and sell it complete.

.

Lol dawn.

That swap would be pimp! Def +1 on selling the BMW with a motor in it.

4k for a 328 roller… yikes…

i say keep it as a bmw.

That would be a pretty cool project but you better have at least 1Khp out of that motor to make it worthy of sitting in the bay of a Nova.

edit Not that I doubt you could do it

if you do a sick tub and wheelie bars like this then nova

personally id say bmw… def alot more baller

I’m sorry but only a big lump such as a 572 belongs in a Nova. A BMW powered Nova is all sorts of odd in my eyes

If you can come up with a solid transmissions/rearend for the BMW I say keep it…but if its going to be weak link and you love drag racing switch to the Nova.

Bmw… i just like sleepers/street cars… When i am at the track and see tubbed/race cars cars run 8,7,6’s it just do anything for me…

Now when an older 3 series pulls up to the line with no hints does a nasty burnout and backfire until my ears bleed and then clicks of a 9-10 sec pass that car i will remember the next day!

Chevrolet Nova is my vote.

This

I think the Nova’s appeal is the power potential (engine) and the BMW is the looks, handling, etc. Taking the worst of both and putting them togethers seems kinda :bloated: but might just be the opposite. Sounds like a big uphill battle, but could be something that makes you as the ā€œbuilderā€ look way better if you are successful.
