Boom Days 2015

I was here and took a few pics, all with my phone.
First was this rad pano, from the tippy-top of (i think) Marine A. I gave the SiloCity Rocks fuckers close to 1000 dollars, so I make it my business to sneak up here every boom days to try and get my money’s worth.

Then some twat went and fell and is CERTAINLY going to make this more difficult next year.

Here’s a door, I just thought it looked cool

This friggin’ thing scared the piss out of me when I stumbled upon it. I assume it was some art related thing, as it was not there last year:

More art:

There was still snow inside this building in places. This ladder was in pretty great shape. About 80’ up or so.

Some guy named Peter Potter snapped this pic of my panhead, then posted it to facebook. It’s sort of weird, too much HDR, but whatever. I mean, who does HDR in 2015…?

Heights + Me = Fail.

I just recently got sent a survey from kickstarter about that. Fuck those guys. I’ll probably never take part in another one of those things again because there clearly isn’t a good way to ensure the recipients are fulfilling their promises to donors.

On topic, what happened to the dude that fell?

It’s too bad the ice boom is still up though :frowning:

From reddit:

I was 20 feet from the guy who fell, pretty sure he just broke his arm, not bad considering he fell about 40 feet inside a marine tower. I honestly thought I saw a guy die.
This is exactly why people shouldn’t explore without permission.

Something gave out, I heard the metal bend/break sound and saw him drop from God knows how far, at least 40 feet and he got lucky he didn’t land on something puncturing a lung or even skull.
I don’t think folks should be climbing around on private property without proper insurance anyway.

They’ll start pulling it this week I bet. Major melt off with the winds that pushed the ice out into open water Saturday and Sunday.
