boost/temp guage

heyi got some greddy guages that came with my car. a boost guage, and a temp guage.

both light up but neither are working. what could be the problem?

thanks guys.

Have you taken them out of their pod? The first thing that comes to my mind is that they have power (wired up) but aren’t hooked up to a vacuum line (boost gauge) and the temperature probe (temp gauge).

Check them, then report back.

well i followed the wires through the fire wall and the boost guage was connected to a vacuum that T’s off into two other lines. didnt really go in depth to where it was, and the temo guage i have no idea where that attaches.

when i originally first got my car, the temp worked but im not too sure it was accurate. it was reading a steady 90-95 degrees and the stock guage in the cluster would sit at half, but is the stock guage chaned when you put in an aftermarket guage as well?

JJ,

depends if it is an electric sensor temp gauge or a probe gauge.
the boost gauge should just be connected to basically anywhere on the manifold.

its an electric guage.

its at my shop parked cause of the horrible weekend snow we got in edmonton so i will check in a couple days again,
