My thoughts exactly. The fact of what type of “holiday” they had going on for Boston, with the patriots day or something along the lines of that. People not happy with what the true definition would be and how its been so altered.

And if it was anti-government or anti-tax you’d expect them to hit an IRS office or some other government building. I can’t picture a Tim McVeigh type targeting civilians in a marathon. Those kind of crazies are ok with civilian loss as collateral damage but they don’t make civilians the primary target. Their beef is with government not civilians.
What if this wack job was out to prove a point that there can be mass killings other than using “assault weapons” and trying to prove his point that gun control is pointless? I hate speculating, I’m just playing devil’s advocate here.

this would be why I’m sticking with an American born citizen. Colorado shooting, sandy hook shooting, the knifing that just happened… all things done where their is really no motive besides to hurt civilians.

Pressure cookers have been used extensively as IED Containers in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan over the last ten years.
Attacks in Mumbai and the 2010 attack in Stockholm used pressure cookers as containers.
Recent plots foiled in France employed pressure cookers.
All of these were Islamic terrorists.

Exactly. If you’re here in the US picking a random bomb design off the internet you’re probably going to pick a pipe bomb. It’s easy, readily available at any store and you can buy the parts without anyone remembering you. If you trained in a terrorist camp in Afghanistan or Pakistan though you learned a pressure cooker bomb because every house in that part of the world has at least one pressure cooker. They are the microwaves of shitty dirt eating countries. Here in the US if you want a big 6 liter one like was used in the attack you’re probably going to have to order it. That’s a silly risk to take unless that’s the only kind of bomb you know how to make because you were trained.
They have made it very clear that this attack has shown methods used in both foreign and domestic attacks. I think you will see someone from the United States who took some of the techniques used in those bombings LZ is speaking off. Just my opinion on it.

You are speculating. Who’s to say that they couldn’t have made these bombs to take pressure off of them and make it look like someone else did the bombing. Are we 100% sure that was the type of bomb used? Or is this all media talk. Were these bombs actually confirmed by federal officials to be a pressure cooker?
Not doubting anything you are saying, just really curious. I haven’t had a chance to keep tabs on everything going on.
