So, My wife’s 05 Saturn Vue has a caliper that is sticking. I replaced it a few months back with a nice NAPA part, but its sticking.
If I crack the bleed screw, it frees up and lets the rotor move.
Also, If I leave it for a few minutes it also frees up.
Any thoughts? I do not want to return/replace the caliper unless I have to.
I’m going to try to lock up the ABS to see if that could be the restriction, but I’m not expecting much.
Collapsed brake hose is what you have
It will allow fluid in but won’t let it out

Thats what I was hoping to hear.
When taking with guys at work, it’s easy to discount something as simple as a hose.
in terms of high pressure, low pressure, etc… It’s not intuitive.

Update.
Replaced the hose last october and it corrected the problem.
Now after all these months I can finally get a good nights sleep.
