i dont know how to take the dust shield off from my brake assembly. the new rotors are too big and hit the shield. anybody got any ideas ?

can you cut the dust sheild at least the part thats in the way
u mean the metal plate that goes behind and overtop of rotors right?
If so, I took mine off when I did wheel bearings. When you remove the hub, they slide right off the spindle. They are just kinda force fitted over the spindle.
now is this something i can do in my shopor do i need to tourque the bearings on ?

the axle nut should be torqued to I believe 160-180 ftlbs. Check your manual for exact value.
