When I bleed the brakes what should I use (1993 ABS, calls for DOT 3 only):
-Motul Dot 5.1
-Motul RBF600
-Regular Dot 3
-Something else?
Will need an occasional track day and beating.
Who’s using the Motul fluids? Any comments?
Cheers.

On stock calipers, I can’t see any major reason for going with anything
higher then DOT3. The DOT3 fluid from CT should do fine. I normally
buy Valvoline.
I personally really like the Honda DOT 4.
Using DOT 4 over DOT 3 won’t be noticeable until you get on the track or are being really hard on your brakes repeatedly…'ve never boiled the stuff and I’m pretty damn hard on my brakes a the track. Way less brake fade combined with stainless lines.
Meh, what do I know.
you can try the german brand ‘super blue racing’ . i think it is used OEM on BMW, or M B… dont remember which.
it’s just as good as Motul, but with motul when you cook the fluid it’s done. with super blue after u cook it and cool it down u can use it again.
Could there be any side effects to this stuff? Is it gonna be hard to find?
I’d rather go with factory recommendations unless there is something else I know is safe and worth it, ya know?
Let me know!
I’ve been using the factory ford stuff. it sucks compared to this super blue stuff.
all I have ever used was DOT 3 Valvoline for 10.99 at CT.
Andrew.
:werd:
But I thought it was cheaper then $10.99 :dunno:
