my buddy keeps getting the blue screen of death. he brought the computer to work and they got it working, he took it home and it’s blue screen. anyways, he lives in bridgeville. he’ll give you $50 to fix it and bring another $25 for texas holdem tonite. post if your interested in makin a quick $50, or at least playin cards if it’s un-fixable (is that a word?)
where the fuck is bridgeville? that’s not mt pleas… that’s bridgeport? correct?
bridgeville is west of the city off of 79 correct?
Ya its south on 79…
josh couldn’t fix it…he thinks he’s a computer wiz :dunno:
yeah i know. josh is all :blah: :blah: :blah:
if i only knew something about computers… i might think about doing this.
just reformat the thing
$10 says its windows 98 or windows ME!
he tried, no go. he bought some new battery (like the size of a nickel), no go. i haven’t seen it myself, i’m just takin a stab in the dark. i figured, if someone out there needs some drinkin money they can fix it… or at least play poker. :embarass:
i was gonna suggest the same thing…if he’s got anything important on there, try to get in in safe mode or using a boot disk, etc… get the files & then reformat it.
there are a few things you can check to try & fix it, but if there is nothing he needs on it, reformatting is easier & less time consuming then troubleshooting.
new battery (like the size of a nickel) = bios battery
time to buy a new computer it sounds to me
yeah i would love to see the specs on this machine…

$499 gets you
P4 2.8 533mhz FSB
512M ram
Integrated Graphics
40G hard drive 7200 RPM
15" Flat Panel LCD
i guess it just keeps rebooting, that’s why he bought the new battery :dunno:
Thats a steal! :bigthumb: Go for it
sounds like a virus to me.
^ and only a CD-ROM, no floppy drive, no speakers, a 56K modem. And guess what?! Dell’s Award Winning Service and Support!! :hahano:
For computer special people, thats all they need…
and I’d do it just for the 15’LCD and P4, that blows my 17: CRT and Celeron 766 out of the water (current home PC, weak I know, $$$)
exactly - I have seen this a few times here at work. run a complete virus scan and everything is cool.
