dell’s base model 15" LCD’s are shit…unless you need it for the desk space.
17 CRT > dell 15" LCD
we got a ton of them here @ my work…dell LCD’s 15" on up to 21"
the higher end ones (UltraSharps??) are decent, but the base model 15’s are garbage and the 17’s aren’t that much better
they got a sale on notebooks right now too
the guy already has keyboard, mouse and monitor. He should get a Mac Mini.

For $499 what do you expect, I mean it’s a decent 15" flatpanel and a decent PC for most people that browse the net…
It’s a two/three year box, use it throw it away… You don’t need support it comes with a my shit is fucked up insert disc and fix CD.
256M on a mac mini is lame.

I have a tempered glass and black metal frame L desk at home, weight of the CRT on the joint of that glass desk worries me :eek:
