Broken spring?

Car is leaning towards the front drivers side, and there is no “bounce” on that side of the car. I noticed this when I got to work this morning. I can see the spring, and it doesn’t appear broken…

What else should I look at? I have a 50 mile commute, should I not drive it?

Any fluid on or around the suspension / under the car by that wheel? Perhaps the shock/strut failed?

I don’t see any fluid either…

I just went outside and it looks completely fine. I knocked a bunch of ice out of the spring when I got here, ?

^^^^^^This is totally wrong. The strut really doesn’t provide any static force. It’s a damper. The linear force it imparts is a function of velocity.

There really aren’t too many things that are going to cause a “lean” in the car aside from a broken spring… Broken ball joints or control arms will usually affect the position of the wheel and it will be clear that something is totally out of wack.

My money is on a broken perch or a broken spring.

yeah. the broken piece may be gone. A bad strut would make it bouncy not stiff.
