so your bug was effected by the sunroof recall? are they just ordering you carpet and letting you install it yourself?
i got that notice, along with the class action for the coilpacks and i dont even own the car.
What years and models are affected by the sunroof drain recall? I could use a new carpet.

I got the carpit because I am a volkswagen tech and my car was coverd under the warenty and it had the affects of bad sun roof drains. They won’t give the carpet and let people do it them selfs. Update : today I sold the 17" rims on my bug and orderd new wheels on tire rack. The new ones look so much better!

im not a big fan of the brand but there my price range and they look better than the wheels on the car

changed the wiring and the intercooler sprayer location.
putting the valve cover back on after polished.
I would have the motor back together but I stripped the plastic threads on the injector seats errrrr. but the manifold is now polished and the throttle body is cleaned up.
NB’s need 19s. the fender/arch is HUGE compared to the mk4. your car swallows those wheels. they look so small on it
my old rims rubbed . i use my car on the track not to sit in a parking lot so i need it to perform with out blowing tires. i was considering lowering the coilovers another 1 1/5"
rubbed where? i had 18x8s ET35(final offset +20 and +25 with the spacers) no rubbing at all and that was with my coilovers on a mk4.
they rubbed on the inner wheel wells. If i spaced the wheels with the shape of the fenders they would rub on the fender lip. i don’t know the offset of the wheels i have had but they all seem to be the same my 18"private wheels 17" falcon wheels and 17" tt rims all fit the same.
One of the few bugs I’ve ever seen that I actually like.
strange. only time i had a rubbing issue was with the slicks on those +43 VR6 wheels i had. even with 20mm spacers it was still too close to the locking collar of the H&R. so simple solution was just jack the car way up.
ive seen the NB’s take a big wheel without issue. anything 7.5-8inch wide a +35 is usually good to go on the NB/mk4 chassis
