Business Opportunity

For quite a few years now I have been a member of JNS Imports, ever since I wanted to have the first legal 1989 BNR32 (which didn’t turn out lol). But this was one of very few companies that was importing at the time. Now it is for sale and at a very reasonable price too! I am not affiliated with JNS other than being a member to get periodic e-mails. But I thought if someone was interested in it from NECC it would be nice to see!

Here is the e-mail I received:

Dear JNS Imports Patrons:

We haven’t received any solid offers for the purchase of JNS Imports Inc. So, in an attempt to sell the business before Christmas, we will take the highest offer above $2000 CAD.

As you can see, we’re not trying to make money on the sale of the company. We simply want to sell it to someone who wants to get into the industry with little effort and low barrier for entry. The money spent to buy this company will be recooperated with the import of your first 3 vehicles.

We’ll accept offers until November 30, 2007, 11:59 PM MST.

Here’s the history and sale details again…

JNS Imports is one of the oldest JDM import companies in Canada and was started after the importation of a 1986 Nissan Skyline R31 GTS-X in 2002. JNS Imports has always been operated as a part-time endeavour in our spare time with a focus on specific customer requests.

We, the owners of JNS Imports, have been experiencing growing families and increased responsibilities at our full-time careers in the past while. It has become apparent to us that JNS Imports, in its current format, no longer fits our long term goals.

To this end, we are considering the sale of our company, JNS Imports Inc.

The sale would include:
Contact list with 1500 opt-in contacts built over the past 4 years
Supplier contact list and relationships
Import brokerage account
Documentation on import process
Documented pitfalls in the importation process
Domain name and website (www.jns-imports.com)
Business license (for the City of Calgary)
Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council (AMVIC) license (for an Alberta purchaser)
6 months of support by us to the purchaser
Legal corporate entity (incorprated Jan 2003)

Plese send an email to info@jns-imports.com if you are interested in making an offer or if you have any questions.

Please note that we will only respond to serious inquiries.

I have always wanted to start Importing in my spare time. I unfortuanetly do not know enough about cars and business. I would love to buy this otherwise.

pay someone for a importing company :stuck_out_tongue:

Importing cars from Japan is not a career move. The market blows balls and you have to deal with little kids that just crash their car after they buy it anyways. Im so tired and fed up with it but if you guys think its a wicked dream job go ahead. I guess 2G for a company plan isnt bad, if they are actually making any money at it :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha I know it is not a career move but I just think I would love to do it on aside from my career. And taking trips to Japan would be amazing!

well I doubt this business comes with any ticket’s to Japan or any inventory. :frowning: Still comes out of your pocket.

Haha I understand that but I just have been interested in importing and I have wanted to do it for a while now. It just seems like something I would enjoy and it interests me alot.
And no it wouldnt buy me a ticket to Japan but it could create a bit more money on the side that could.
And help me out with buying parts I have been struggling to buy because of money.

How much is the average annual income from this company. Is there documentation to support this? IE invoices and tax returns?

I have no idea man.

Don’t shoot the messenger guys! lol I’m just passing the info along. Personally I think with all that you are getting in terms of:
Import brokerage account
Business license (for the City of Calgary)
Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council (AMVIC) license (for an Alberta purchaser)
Legal corporate entity (incorprated Jan 2003)

That alone is worth it, all the leg work has been done for you. Isn’t a brokerage account kinda difficult to attain? The AMVIC is great, cause if you get that you don’t only have to sell imported vehicles, you can sell ANY vehicle in Alberta. Open up a used car lot whatever. If that is something that someone wants to do, then it can be a career move for that person. The corporate entity, according to anyone who would deal with you your business has been in operation for at least 4 years now. That’s actually a big deal.

I have a friend interested…i’ll Pm you when i talk to him about it thanks.

lol

just contact them directly.

Plese send an email to info@jns-imports.com if you are interested in making an offer or if you have any questions.
