Buying tires

There is no poll about which tires to get, I just want to know if anyone has connections or knows of any deals.

I want 4 goodyear eagle f1 all seasons in 245/45-18

Tirerack has them for $190 each no tax but paying shipping.

I’d prolly go with some falkens

Any reason other than cheaper?

The tires I posted get lights out reviews and have a 420 wear rating.

everybody says every tire is good on tirerack. I would shop discount and open your options up a little more. spending that much for an all season is crazy.

only trust the tire rack tests on their site. the user comments are lame, but they do testing on their own.

so far the nest tire for your money seems to be the Ecsta SPT.

hi ron, remember the guy you went to high school with who’s family owns 8 car dealerships… that sell tires?

Is that price for run-flats?

I PM’d you.

I have 4 hankook rs2’s with 700 miles on them for my mustang in that size and i want to sell them as i have went with a 275/315 r18 setup.

They aren’t runflats, they are very good summer tires tho, and they will hook and handle much better, and be much much cheaper.

if something like this interests you for half the price give my cell a call 380-5426.

Deathproff your tires are 17’s not 18’s

what kind of driving will you do. in that size eagle f1 and michelin pilots are going ito be your best bang for a buck. michelins are expensive though

http://www.tiredeals4less.com/GENERAL_Exclaim_UHP_245_40ZR18_P4140.cfm

best bang for you buck tire out there right now, decent prices, slightly aggressive tread, almost disposable for the price, and people drive the piss out of them

http://www.tiredeals4less.com/NITTO_Invo_245_40ZR18_93W_P4509.cfm

better grip than the UHP, less than PS2, but better wet handling capabilities

The UHP came in third of four.

My question is why do you want all seasons? If you’re going to have a performance car summer tires + snows is the only way to go.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=General&tireModel=Exclaim+UHP

ranked first in there category

plus with what some of the people are doing to them, and what they are saying about them, I trust that more than tire racks comparison that you quoted

oh and the whole list, just in case

Did you miss this part from the results you posted?

Info based on consumers completing The Tire Rack’s online survey.

I’ll take the tirerack test results where qualified people tested a group of tires back to back over random user opinions any day. The majority of user reviews are from people replacing worn out and out of balance shit tires with brand new ones, and they can’t believe how much better the new ones are.

general/continental tires i will never wish on my enemies cars. they are really shitty tires that are proned to impact bubbles and belt shifts

did you read the results I posted at all, the Kuhmo and Yoke’s have significantly more negative reviews, miles used.

Also did you read the review of them, they stated that the Yoke’s and Kuhmo’s where better suited for on the track

Our 1/3-mile per lap test track course includes 90-degree street corners, lane changes and simulated expressway ramps. Run in both dry and wet conditions, the test track allows our team to experience the traction, responsiveness, handling and drivability normally only encountered during abrupt emergency avoidance maneuvers or competition events.
While the three replacement tires turned relatively quick average lap times under dry conditions, the AVS ES100 edged out the Ecsta SPT, followed by the Exclaim UHP and Eagle RS-A. The AVS ES100 generated ultimate cornering grip that just edged out the Ecsta SPT, while the Exclaim UHP’s aggressive tread design and compound offered surprisingly good grip and predictable handling while running faster lap times than the Eagle RS-A.
With the track wet to simulate the conditions of a moderate rain shower, the Kumho SPT delivered the best overall traction and fastest average lap time, slightly ahead of the Exclaim UHP with both tires distancing themselves from the AVS ES100 and the Eagle RS-A. Since our test track’s watering system is designed to simulate a moderate rain shower, the water depth and average speeds did not allow our team members to experience the Exclaim UHP tire’s exceptional hydroplaning resistance. The Eagle RS-A was not able to match the overall handling of the other three tires, delivering gentle understeer when pressed to its grip limits.

If you are looking for a better DD tire that can still take a beating get the UHP. Tirerack did no long term tests, and there enough people that continuously buying UHP that I would consider them.

check tires-easy.com that is where i found my best deal and good shipping

The car will never see snow, but it will see plently rain I am sure.
The F1 all seasons out performed the summers on the skid test and have a far better wear rating.

Plus carbon fiber side walls sounds cool.

I bought snow tires from here, everything turned out well but they are a little sketchy. You need to call to make sure everything is in stock.

I’ll stick to tire rack unless they don’t carry what I want.

I know you aren’t looking for tire advice but I don’t see the reason to get all seasons either.

i stand insulted that i have not been contacted regarding this concern
