Welcome!

This is honestly the first Tib that I have seen that I liked.

Building the motor or stock internals?

What is the expected power? T3/T4?

Nice and clean
Thank you for keeping it normal (good looking)! :nod

first ill start with thank you  lol

internals will be forged pistons pauter rods of course all new seals and what not and eventually re worked heads…

its a T60-1 from Garrett and the power will be two separate tunes a 8-10 psi tune (340-370WHP) and a 14-18psi tune(470-520 WHP)

in the spring tho i don’t believe ill have the cash for the internals so it’ll be running on about 6 pounds for the first half of the summer till i can afford internals unless i get a good paying job for the winter and can get the internals which is what i REALLY want to happen…

and this car will eventually receive a kit but beleive me its no riced out ugly kit…will only enhance the already clean look

Lip kits do that very nicely for a fraction of the cost of a body kit, and is always a good alternative.

Tuned on race gas for the second tune or pump?

I assume you’re going to dyno tune everytime, no street tunes, and that will get expensive quick. $300 for the 6psi tune, and a good $400 to retune for the other two.

actually i will be running a zeitronix wideband so i will be able to street tune the low PSI tune and get the high close enough to where i dont need a ton of dyno time…

oh and all on pump gas with alchohol injection

Street tune? Common dude, you are investing so much money in the engine and other parts, wouldn’t it make sense to pay $400 and get it tuned the right way then melting your pistons and screwing your engine?

im only street tuning the low psi mode…which is perfectly ok with a zeitronix…have u ever researched the zeitronix the thing is awesome and people use it to street tune all the time…but the high boost tune will be dyno tuned…i might even just say fuck it and leave it at the high boost all the time for one tune…and dont forget theeres nos tand alone fuel mamanagement for the tiburon…so i ahve to wrok with what ive got…

if you have egt, knock sensing, and a wideband, what’s wrong with street tuning if you know what youre doing?

^^EXACTLY

Werd. My car’s been street tuned several times. Datalogs w/ WBO2, boost, EGT go a longgg way.

and your tune has been done with none of what you stated :lmao

lmao…that made me giggle…

BURN!

I call shenanigans, that’s a Tiburon :shifty

In a Farva like voice “you mean shenanigans ?”

“a 8-10 psi tune (340-370WHP) and a 14-18psi tune(470-520 WHP)”

… i’m speechless

Street tuning is fine depending on the setup. There’s absolutely no reason why you need a dyno to set the AFR but you really do need it to set the timing unless you have a piggyback. However, that comes with the issue of your setup having timing-induced knock. A dyno really allows you to look for drop offs at various RPM points. For a setup like DSM, Supras, EVos, STis, etc… where you basically have a huge client base doing similiar shit, you probably can get away with doing it on your own with the proper tools. Something about a FI Tibby and doing shit on my own scares me tho…
