We will start with the recent corvette races. I stopped at a local shop where a bunch of guys in a local car club work. Think nyspeeders that own a shop lol. Two of the guys rode gsxr600s, one a geared 2000 one a stock looking 2005.
They wanted to run on zee highway, so I figured why not. From a 2nd gear roll verse the 2000 motor he got the jump on me and pulled maybe a car, but I ended up pulling that back and passing him at about ~130. Buy ~150 I had a solid 2-3 cars on him. We ran 2 more times with the same results.
We get back to the shop and talk and the guy with the 05 wants a run. He says he pulls hard on the 00. So we run from a 2nd roll and he destroys me motor. Time to turn on the :snky: Run him again and end up running really even until about 120 ish where I pull maybe 1/2 a car. We race one more time on the :snky: and I pull about 1 car at ~130 on him. I do not know what was done to the 05 bike.
Awesome shop, I got an oil change, tires ballanced and my allignment checked and put into my secs for $20 lol. yah -1.5 degrees of camber.
Friday night I stayed late at work installing a 3.91lsd in the M3. It deffinetly gives the car a little more get up and go. On the way out I did a nice little burn out to make sure the diff was good. Well I’m driving home on zee highway once again and a black Challenger R/T (smaller hemi) flies up on me. I figure why not give this guy a run? We slow down to about 45 and run to about 120. He has an exhaust and it is a 5 speed. He only manages to pull 1/2 car! We run again about 50-130, he might have had 3/4. We run again with the same resaults. I was pretty happy with that for the daily driver. 350hp 5.7L V8 VS 3.2L I6
I’ll be back at the track to see if she is braking into the 13’s yet. haha
Awh a slow race is still a race right?
