CA experts help? T25 Turbo Question

Hey,

im rather confused as to what i’ve got here.

i have a ca turbo .48 ar and all that… but theres this other nipple on the front of teh turbo, it looks like a vac/boost line… what exactly is it for and whrere exactly should i run it??

thanks!

Bryan

nipple eh ? From what I can recall that is for the wastegate actuator… so you don’t have to plum a line from somewhere more rediculous, like say the intake plenum or something.

yeah its for the wastegate actuator.
it’s just another vac/boost line, although I dont advise running your boost gauge off it due to possible pressure loss by the time it gets to your intake manifold… inaccurate readings.

true say, gentlemen.

one benefit from having the wg signal right at the compressor outlet is that it will help minimize spiking, since there is much less time for the boost to rise before it hits the actuator.
