wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction i have an 89 s13 with a ca. its been stored since nov. i run it every once and a while, fuel stab , a lil bit of new gas to keep everythign fresh etc. anyways i havent been able to actually out drive it but when it starts and idles its fine, once it get warm the idle drops and lumps around at 5-600 rpm, rev it it stumbles for a quick second then fine doesnt miss holding it at 1500-4000 rpm. does it just need a good shit kicking and drive it ? anything to do with the -30 degrees? lol thanks for your time
I’d suggest cleaning the IACV.
I know its a common thing on RB’s to have sporadic idle if certain things aren’t in clean and peak condition.
Could be the temperature causing it to happen.
I’ve got a buddy with a CA aswell, and it idles fine, but kind of takes a plunge when you hit the throttle.
Doese’nt sound serious though.
IACV being this http://nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=&id=183966
ACC its refered to in this article?
just finished cleanin it out prolly start it tomorrow
, backed the screw out abit to ope the valve a lil more.
if its boggin down at like 500 or 600 rpm and then u rev it it pops almost like it backfires :S
i used to have the exact same problem…i changed my dropping resistor and adj. my tps
and it was all good 2 go…ca’s don’t really like cold weather conditions…
what is that ?! never heard of it?
Dropping resistors controls the voltage at the injectors…
