cable to FM signal?

In my apartment, for who knows what reason, I only have 1 cable jack (in a pretty stupid spot too). I’m not allowed to drill any holes in the walls or anything like that… not to mention, I dont like having ppl in my house I dont know working on shit when I’m not home. So that rules out having Adelphia install one.

I also dont like the idea of having coax cable laying all over the place.

Is there something avalible that will turn the cable signal into an FM signal, that I could use to pickup the signal at another part of the house? My parents have something similar for their remote control for the TV/Stereo (converts the infrared signal to FM, then back to infrared)

what floor are you on? if you’re on the bottom, and have a basement – drill a hole in the floor. no one will notice if you have carpet…

i seem to remember someone here disussing something like what you’re talking about though.

adelphia does installs on the weekends i think, i just had a guy here on a sunday!
